October 27 - 31

We have a busy week ahead!  There will be picture retakes on Wednesday for anyone who was absent last time, or for anyone who was not happy with their last picture.
We will be going to the Ellen Eccles Theater on Thursday to see a production of Beauty and the Beast.  The buses will be loading at 12:00, and we will be returning at 2:30.  We have permission slips for everyone in the DLI program.
On Friday, we will have our annual Halloween parade through the school.  It will begin at 8:20.  Parents are invited to attend (there will be seating in the gym).  Please remember, students cannot wear masks during the parade.  We also do not allow weapons of any sort, or costumes with too much gore.  We want to make sure that the parade is fun for everyone!  Students will be required to remove their costumes after the parade, so please ensure they have appropriate clothing on underneath.

Red Ribbon Week schedule: Monday - wear pajamas, Tuesday - crazy hair day, Wednesday - sports day, Thursday - wear red, and Friday - costume day!

Conferences

All the conferences have been scheduled.  If you need to see the time you are scheduled, click here.  On Monday (all day) and Tuesday from 8-12:00, we will be holding the conferences in the blue computer lab (come in the front doors to the school, turn right at the library, and it is the first door on the left).  After noon on Tuesday, we will be in Mrs. Wright's room.  If you cannot make your scheduled time, please call the office (755-2345) as soon as possible.  We look forward to meeting with you!

We have a full day of school on Monday and a half-day on Tuesday.   Due to conferences we will have substitutes in our rooms from noon to 2:30 on Monday, and from 8-12 on Tuesday.  Please remind your child that is important to be respectful to the substitute, and that we expect them to follow the same rules they follow every day.

Reflex Math

We use a program at school called Reflex Math.  It is a fun online resource to help children learn math facts.  Your child can access it and play it at home, as well as at school.  The address is reflexmath.com.

Click on 'Launch' in the upper right-hand corner.

The username for both the red and blue class is 'DLI'.

You will get two options at this point: red class or blue class.  Select red or blue, and this will bring up a list of names.

Select your child's name.

Their password is their lunch number.

Have fun!
